It's no secret that MDMA and EDM have pretty close ties. Molly is a powder form of MDMA—the stuff that ecstasy is made from—and it's becoming increasingly popular in the electronic music scene. While Madonna was at Ultra Music Festival in Miami, it seemed like she was trying pretty hard to attach herself to the EDM world. She spoke on how important electronic music has always been to her, explained what a big Avicii fan she is, and got the crowd going with a molly reference, yelling, "How many people in this crowd have seen molly?"

One artist in particular wasn't happy with the 53-year-old pop icon's drug reference. Popular DJ Deadmau5 took to Facebook to share his thoughts with over five million of his fans:

"Very classy there madonna. "HUR DUR HAS ANYONE SEEN MOLLY???" such a great message for the young music lovers at ultra. quite the f'n philanthropist. but hey, at least yer HIP AND TRENDY! fucking cant smack my head hard enough right now."

Deadmau5 had a lot more to say on the issue, and you can read his full reaction on his Tumblr. Madonna's album, MDNA, is out now.
