Things got more than real when Nas decided to skip a New Year's Eve performance in Angola. Concert promoter Patrick Allocco was abducted at gunpoint after a local concert impresario was furious over Nasir's no-show and feared him skipping town with the funds.
Alloco was instructed to give back the $315,000 advance and was eventually freed with the help of the U.S. Embassy, but he's still "holed up in a local hotel." Nas states he was scheduled to perform but miscommunication about travel arrangements made him cancel his appearance at the last minute. He and his team are looking to return the money and resolve the matter as soon as possible.
