Heems is currently in India for the Goa Arts and Literary Festival, but even being in another continent doesn't stop folks from releasing music. Using Indian elements for his Mike Finito-produced "Alien Gonzalez," the Das Racist rapper references the young Cuban who was involved in an international custody war and removed from his relatives at gunpoint by federal agents after being found floating on a raft off the coast of Florida back in 2000.
The song comes a couple weeks after Elian Gonzalez' 18th birthday, which he celebrated on December 7. What is Elian doing now, you ask? He is enrolled at a military academy in Cuba and now pledges his allegiance to the Communist party. How times change.
