What Happened? During his performance at the Glastonbury music festival in 2008, Jay-Z performed in front of a backdrop that featured a visual of Damien Hirst’s diamond-encrusted skull, “For The Love Of God.” A replica of the skull was produced two years later and can be seen throughout the video for “On To The Next One.” Hirst’s diamond skull piece represents the Latin phrase memento mori (Remember you must die).

Complex says: We always suspected Jay made the “On To The Next One” video to capitalize on all the Illuminati talk that was swirling around him at the time. Obviously, nothing says Illuminati like a diamond skull. But little did conspiracy theorist realize, Jay was showing off his high brow tastes and not pledging his allegiance to some secret society.
