Getting approval from Jay-Z must be a dream come true for J. Cole. The young North Carolina up-and-comer is gearing up to drop his debut, and it now seems clear that It Hov approves of the upcoming Cole World: The Sideline Story.
Rich Kleiman, who was with Jay later in the night following a meeting about the album, mentioned that Mr. Carter's reaction to the project was, "Cole got a classic. That motherfucker." Cole explains the whole situation here, and emphasizes that while Jay didn't say it to him or make a big public announcement, it felt good.
According to Cole, Watch The Throne was also an inspiration for him to raise the bar for his own project. His current single "Work Out" just got a video, with his second single alongside Trey Songz on a track titled "Can't Get Enough" is due out soon.
