German filmmaker Florian Gallenberger has been enlisted to re-write and direct a biopic on the infamous Milli Vanilli duo. The project has been in the works since 2007. The film might seem questionable, but the journey of Fab Morvan and Rob Pilatus is quite interesting. They won a Grammy Award for Best New Artist in 1990, their debut Girl You Know It’s True went diamond, and they sold more than 30 million singles. Then it all came crashing down when the public discovered that they did not sing any of the songs on their album. Pilatus died from an overdose, too.
If handled properly, it could be a hot flick. Fab Morvan and the Pilatus estate have already approved.
