This Tumblr claims that Dr. Dre started Black Rock Desert's annual hippie-gathering known as the Burning Man festival. That's not true, because it belongs to Black Rock City, LLC, but this handwritten letter they posted makes it seem like a compelling argument.
Dre writes an old girlfriend about shooting locations for the “California Love” video and stumbling upon the fest back when it was free of charge. This could be a PR stunt from Burning Man, but if you ask us, it seems legit.
