A Texas woman shot and killed a “peeping Tom” who was caught peering through her bedroom window.

KTRK reports the man was spotted standing outside the woman’s home in north Houston around 11 p.m. on Friday night. The woman, who told police she believed she was in danger, grabbed a rifle and fired several shots through her wall. Police say the suspect was hit at least once in the torso. He was pronounced dead on scene.

According to investigators, it appears there is no relationship between the man and woman. Additionally, police say there’s been no decision yet as to whether any charges will be filed.

It isn’t the first time a “peeping Tom” has been fatally shot this year in Texas.

Back in July, a father in Texas’ Harris County shot and critically injured a man who was caught allegedly masturbating in front of his 10-year-old daughter’s window.

“She looks over at the window, and this guy is at her window,” the girl’s mother told KPRC. “He took my daughter’s innocence away.”

The girl’s parents, both armed with handguns, went outside and confronted the man, demanding the alleged “peeping Tom” lie down in the yard and wait for police to arrive. The suspect did not comply, and fled to a nearby gas station.

After following him to the store, the man wrestled the handgun out of the wife’s hands and pointed it at her. In fear that the man was going to start shooting, the dad fired his weapon, shooting the man three times. The man was transported to the hospital in critical but stable condition.
