A Montana man alleges his 6-year-old son found a bullet inside a bag of otherwise delectable Flamin’ Hot Cheetos.

That’s the claim from a man said to be named Bow Horn Weasel, per a TMZ report on Tuesday. According to their rundown, the Montana man first purchased a bag of Flamin’ Hot-ified Cheetos Puffs on Saturday. On Sunday, his six-year-old son allegedly opened the container of puffs and found a bullet at the bottom of the bag.

The report on this alleged incident includes a screenshot of a DM exchange between the man and what appears to be the official Frito-Lay page on Facebook.

The man, meanwhile, is adamant that this isn’t a fictional claim. He also claims to have already heard back from a Frito-Lay rep and is being sent a testing kit. According to TMZ’s report, Mr. Bow Horn Weasel isn’t looking to be financially compensated but is instead hoping to prevent this alleged incident from being repeated for other customers in the future.

Complex has reached out to reps for both Frito-Lay and PepsiCo for additional comment and will update this post accordingly.

As you may or may not recall, recent years have seen a number of updates on the forthcoming Richard Montañez biopic tentatively titled Flamin’ Hot. Montañez, of course, is the man who invented Flamin’ Hot Cheetos.

The film, at least as of January 2020, is being directed by Eva Longoria. Speaking with Entertainment Weekly at the time, Longoria said Flamin’ Hotis “a very beautiful story [about] the man and his journey and how he succeeded in a world that tells you no.”
