A 46-year-old Maryland man has been charged in the deaths of his brother, sister-in-law, and another woman after he allegedly plotted to kill his brother because he was a pharmacist administering COVID-19 vaccines, which he believed to be poison.
According to CBS News, Jeffrey Burnham shot and killed his brother, 58-year-old Brian Robinette, in his Ellicott City home on Sept. 30, along with Robinette’s wife Kelly Sue Robinette, after he confronted him about administering the vaccine to people. Court documents retrieved by WUSA 9 state that Burnham believed his brother was knowingly poisoning people with the vaccine, thinking that he knew something the general public didn’t.
“He wanted to confront Brian with the government poisoning people with COVID vaccines,” the document reads, “He repeatedly stated ‘Brian knows something!’”
Before allegedly murdering his brother and sister-in-law, Burnham also allegedly killed 83-year-old Rebecca Reynolds, a friend of his mother. Howard County Police believe that Burnham stole Reynold’s 2020 Lincoln and drove two hours to Elliot City to confront his brother. The stolen vehicle was later found abandoned.
After committing the murders, police believe Burnham then stole his brother’s 2007 red Chevrolet Corvette that was parked at his home and fled the scene. Police later found him in the red Corvette parked on the side of a West Virginia road on Oct 1. Once he was arrested, authorities discovered a gun inside the vehicle.
Burnham has been charged with two counts each of first and second-degree murder, plus weapons charges.
