When my friends discuss jobs they've had in the past, I instantly imagine them as waiters, cashiers, and retail sales associates. When they discuss times they've volunteered, I picture a bunch of kids, all pitching in to clean up a park for a few hours. And 10 years from now, when it's my turn to talk old gigs, I might have the most unique occupation to share.
On Nov. 8, we'll decide who leads our country for the next four years. And since I didn't want to make an uniformed decision on Election Day, I got a job working with Hillary Clinton's campaign. During my time with her campaign, I linked up with Common and John Legend, and hit the road to get people registered to vote. The journey didn't quite get me in dap's reach of Clinton, but at minimum, I learned how tough it is to work on the campaign trail.
