After revolutionising the Walkman, the smartphone and the tablet, Apple have their sights on taking over the transportation game with the Apple Car. Like everything at Apple, development is very hush-hush.
Now however respected Apple financial analyst Gene Munster has given an interview that sheds a little light on when you might be able to get your hands on the steering wheel (if it has one). Munster predicts “there will be a car that you can see and order in 2019-2020”, said Munster. “We don’t think it will probably be delivered until after that…maybe 2021.”
It will also be expensive. “If you look at the overall automotive industry Apple historically plays toward the high-end’” he continues, and suggest the launch price will be around “around $75,000.”
