All is not as it seems online. That is a fact that will forever be true. So even though the internet seems to think Prince Charles skipped shaking hands with Vice President Mike Pence, it may not have gone down how you may think.

The Vice President and the Prince of Wales were spotted Thursday at the Fifth World Holocaust Forum, which took place at the Yad Vashem Holocaust memorial museum in Jerusalem. Prince Charles shook hands with several world leaders and dignitaries, but people quickly pointed out that he appeared to have skipped shaking hands with Pence, and even gave him a sharp look.

All Mike Pence ever does is stand behind his crooked boss Donald Trump like a wooden statue. Can’t blame Prince Charles for overlooking an empty suit. pic.twitter.com/cpkdMmyucc

The video does look bad, as Prince Charles shakes hands with everyone but Pence.

Katie Waldman, Pence's press secretary, shut down the accusations that Prince Charles snubbed the VP. "This is not true," she tweeted, including an image of the pair interacting prior. "VP and Prince Charles spoke prior to entering the event floor and after his remarks as well."

According to the Daily Mail, Prince Charles was technically supposed to skip shaking hands with Pence due to protocol, which says he is to shake hands with a head of state, the German president Frank-Walter Steinmeier, the very first person he spoke with in the video, his host Moshe Kantor, founder of the World Holocaust Forum, then Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israeli President Reuven Rivlin.

The outlet points out that Pence is "not a head of state or a host."

Still, people on Twitter had a lot to say about the apparent "snub."

Appears? No question about it

That wasn't an overlook. The look from Prince Charles was more searing than the handshake diss
