At only 19, Emman Atienza was a growing social media influencer in her own right, who came from a prominent family in the Philippines.
She was the daughter of Kim Atienza, a Filipino television personality who is the son of a well-known Manila politician. Her mother is Felicia Atienza, described by Deadline as "a celebrity entrepreneur and fitness guru."
According to Deadline, Felicia Atienza recently moved to Los Angeles, and that is the city where her daughter died. Emman Atienza had almost a quarter of a million followers on Instagram, where she shared photos of her lifestyle. She posted a series of photos recently that gave no indication that anything was amiss.
The cause of death is tragic. According to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner, Emman Atienza's cause of death is suicide by ligature hanging. She is called Emmanuel Atienza in the medical examiner's database. The place of death for Atienza was listed as "residence." Her date of death was given as October 22, 2025. Her parents also confirmed that Atienza had died, writing about the tragedy on Instagram.
“It’s with deep sadness that we share the unexpected passing of our daughter and sister, Emman,” they wrote. “She brought so much joy, laughter, and love into our lives and into the lives of everyone who knew her. Emman had a way of making people feel seen and heard, and she wasn’t afraid to share her own journey with mental health. Her authenticity helped so many feel less alone.”
Atienza's mom describes herself on Instagram as "Health & Well-being Advocate. Animal Welfare Supporter & Conservationist. Gender Equality Proponent. Lifelong Learner."
The dad, who has a million followers on Instagram, describes himself as, "Believer in Jesus, Husband to smart beautiful Felicia, Father of 3 beautiful kids, ironman triathlete, marathoner and cyclist, TV guy."
