A former Apprentice contestant (one not named Omarosa) wants Donald Trump to become president, so he is refusing to release what he calls “damaging” audio, reportedBusiness Insider. Unlike the contestant, others attached to the Apprentice have come forward with allegations against Trump for: calling Lil Jon an Uncle Tom (confirmed by Lil Jon), laughing at a staffer being groped by Gary Busey, and making lewd comments while also proposing to Playboy playmate Brande Roderick.
Brian McDowell told Business Insider he had "potentially damaging" audio of Trump during his season of The Apprentice. McDowell appeared on season three of the show in 2005. McDowell did not describe the contents of the audio, only calling them “potentially damaging,” which Business Insider said an independent source confirmed.
According to McDowell, People and The New York Times asked to publish the audio, in addition to Business Insider, and he declined. McDowell noted he refused to release the audio despite knowing the $5 million offer in place by Hillary Clinton super PAC founder David Brock for legal fees should a non-disclosure agreement be violated. McDowell said he was no longer under a non-disclosure agreement for the show. He called the election "bigger than Trump and $5 million," saying he believed Clinton would damage the country.
McDowell is the Cape May County, New Jersey coordinator of the campaign to elect Trump. In a Daily Mail interview, McDowell said about Trump: "He's not perfect. I don't agree with everything Donald Trump does, and I don't agree with everything Donald Trump says, but he's the best candidate we have."
