Throughout this election season GOP presidential candidates have named only one person more often than fellow presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, and that's Jesus. Two recent instances of candidates bringing religion into the conversation include Ted Cruz opening his speech after winning the Iowa caucus on Monday saying, "God bless the great state of Iowa" and "to God be the glory," in addition to Marco Rubio turning down his title of "savior" of the GOP saying, "There's only one savior, and it's not me. It's Jesus Christ." Tired of having his name in candidates' mouths Jesus decided to speak a few words of his own from the mouths of those very candidates for this Jimmy Kimmel skit.

Kimmel introduced the skit of presidential candidate Jesus saying, "God is an important part of this primary election. Most all of the candidates go out of their way to talk about the Bible and their faith. So we thought it would be interesting to take real quotes from the primary candidates and have them come from the mouth of Jesus." As the skit shows the holy ideals these candidates preach don't always match what they say, like the time Jeb! Bush said he wanted to kill a terrorist "with his bare hands."

Jesus delivers quotes covering the issues of allowing refugees into the U.S. and terrorism overseas:

  • "The fact is that we need appropriate vetting and I don't think that orphans under five should be admitted into the United States at this point." -Chris Christie
  • "I would bomb the s*** out of them. I would just bomb those suckers."-Donald Trump
