Mike Pompeo Slammed for Saying Multiculturalism Is 'Not Who America Is'

Departing Secretary of State Mike Pompeo enraged people online one last time, when he tweeted that multiculturalism is bad for the country.

The Trump administration is leaving the country in much worse condition than it found it. Over 400,000 Americans have lost their lives in an uncontrolled pandemic. As Congress deliberates whether the impeached-twice-over President should be barred from running for the office ever again, and Washington D.C. is virtually on lockdown with the aid of National Guard troops in the wake of a MAGA revolt, Trump's Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, laid out what he believes the real problem is with America: being multicultural.

Pompeo tweeted out that "woke-ism" is a plot to weaken our country, taking aim at the very idea of a multicultural society on the day after a federal holiday celebrating the life of Martin Luther King Jr.

Woke-ism, multiculturalism, all the -isms — they're not who America is. They distort our glorious founding and what this country is all about. Our enemies stoke these divisions because they know they make us weaker. pic.twitter.com/Mu97xCgxfS

"Woke-ism, multiculturalism, all the -isms — they're not who America is. They distort our glorious founding and what this country is all about," he wrote above an image decrying political correctness. "Our enemies stoke these divisions because they know they make us weaker."

Needless to say, people did not take kindly to his parting shot, taking particular offense at the (racist) idea that America is not meant to be a melting pot.

The outgoing US Secretary of State believes multiculturalism is Un-American, but believes 💯 in the rapture. Bye now. https://t.co/Io8U2SuGv2

Speaking of authoritarianism and censorship, remember when you helped protect the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia (MBS) who orchestrated the murder of @washingtonpost contributor Jamal Khashoggi for speaking out against the govt?

Or have you conveniently forgotten your role in that https://t.co/Ts5VBWbnyQ

A man with the surname "Pompeo" is trying to tell us modern America isn't founded on multiculturalism https://t.co/w2cBKzT866

As of tomorrow, there is one “ism” I plan to cling fervently to. Intellectual elitism, when confronted with the kind of abysmal stupidities we’ve had to listen to these past four years. https://t.co/n2X1MUmGfx

Soon-to-be-jobless Secretary of State prefers a country with only one culture--white. You know what they call that, right? Say it with me. White. Supremacism.

Enough. https://t.co/NzwFFMcXqr

Whoa. Other than native Americans, we are all from other countries & cultures. That is exactly “what this country is all about”- and it is glorious. https://t.co/fuyMYR5yIx

That's right, Secretary! You tell it straight. You know who America is: white and ignorant. And the way to defeat our enemies is to get whiter and more ignorant. https://t.co/IdpkA24i2y

He's trolling because he's a professional troll like everyone else in this administration so all I have to say is good fucking riddance Mike. https://t.co/ocNw3ZTzSS
