A Pennsylvania man is accused of filming himself beating his girlfriend to death on Feb. 3 after an argument between their pair broke out over a text message from the victim's ex-boyfriend.
Nicholas Forman of Collegeville reportedly brought his girlfriend, 22-year-old Sabrina Harooni, to the hospital in an Uber and lied that she had been attacked by three women.
Upon Harooni's arrival, medical staff discovered her already dead. "It was determined by medical staff that the victim had arrived at the hospital already deceased," a statement from the office of Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele read.
Forman has been charged with first-degree murder along with one count of third-degree murder.
"This was not a transportation to help a victim that was struggling with life," Steele said during a news conference, NBC10 reports. "This was taking a dead body out of a residence to a hospital."
Investigators who arrived at the hospital found that "the victim and defendant had been watching the Super Bowl" at a bar before heading to Forman's residence. During the ride, "the two were arguing about a text message from the victim’s former boyfriend and continued the argument in the driveway of the defendant’s residence."
According to authorities, Forman beat Harooni to death sometime in the following hours; they found a video on his phone with an injured Harooni lying on the ground, with a male's voice saying "this is what a cheating liar gets."
Forman doubled down on his innocence, as seen in the video above, saying, "Three girls, not me. This is crazy." His request for bail has been denied.
