UPDATED Nov. 27, 11:20 a.m. ET: The Toronto man wanted for dumping buckets of feces on people in a series of attacks has been arrested, the Toronto Star reports. 23-year-old Samuel Opoku is facing five counts of assault with a weapon and five mischief-related charges.
The series of poop attacks took place over the course of four days, with the most recent taking place on Monday evening. "A young girl had a bucket of waste, feces, dumped on her," Toronto police Const. David Hopkinson said of the attack on Monday. "I don't know what to say, I'm at a loss, this is absolutely disgusting."
"Great work by @TorontoPolice arresting an individual in the 'feces attacks' investigation," Toronto mayor John Tory tweeted. "He can’t face justice or be given help until apprehended and it seems our police have that in hand. I hope this arrest will help calm concern on campuses and across the city."

Just in time for the holidays and whatnot, attentive news followers are being hit with a multitude of variations on headlines aiming to get the word out about a serial feces-thrower who's currently terrorizing Toronto.
"You just can't understand why anybody would go around and do this kind of thing," Mayor John Tory said Tuesday, per the Toronto Sun. "I just hope that people support the police in trying to track this person down."
Tory added that the man believed to be responsible for three similar fecal attacks "is a person, to me, that has some very serious issues . . . but the most important thing is that the person be tracked down."
The Toronto Police Service shared a press release Monday that included a photo of the suspect, who is described as a man in his 20s "with a medium build." At the time of an incident said to have occurred Nov. 24 at York University's Scott Library, the suspect was wearing a black hat and blue top with black gloves. In that incident, he's said to have entered the library carrying a bucket, the contents of which were determined to be "liquefied fecal matter," before dumping it onto a person seated at a table and fleeing on foot.
The Sunreported that the other two incidents occurred at the University of Toronto's Robarts Research Library and in the College St. and University Ave. area near a university building.
