T-Pain canceled his upcoming 1UP DLC Tour due to low ticket sales.

In a remarkably candid post to Instagram, the rapper revealed that his planned tour was set off on a path to failure from the start and owned up to his own mistakes in poorly managing the run of dates.

"Let me just start by saying that my team set up the tour in September... Some corners got cut. Production went missing," he began the video, "I wasn't as hands-on with the planning and things as I should have been becuase I've been busy as hell."

T-Pain said he had hoped to coast on the momentum generated by the first 1UP Tour, but he quickly found that would not be possible. He ended the tour to avoid playing shoddy shows to half-full rooms.

"I thought since the first 1UP Tour went well and sold out every city, it should be good," he said. "Having said that, I'm gonna take it upon myself to cancel [the tour]. It just would have been a bad look for me and it wouldn't have been entertaining for y'all."

In the most honest part of the video, T-Pain revealed he was told to lie about his reasoning for shelving the tour. He said he didn't believe in lying to fans who put in the work to buy tickets and make plans.

"I was advised to lie about this and say that I needed some time, or I needed some alone time or me time or some shit like that," he said. "We fucked up. I'm gonna keep it real with y'all. Most artists lie. Whenever concerts get cancelled or tours get cancelled, it's for low ticket sales."

For good measure, T-Pain dropped a bit of life advice for anyone listening, should they find themselves in similar-fitting shoes.

"You can't hold onto a mistake just because you spent a long time making it," he said.

Fans were a little let down, but appreciated the honesty (and the refunds).

0 for 2☹️ first the kettering concert gets cancelled, then the 1UP DLC tour... 2 chances to see my favorite artist @TPAIN and the bad luck strikes again... “bUt TeVeN bAd LuCk IsNt ReAl” ya ok
