Livestream Players Coalition Town Hall on Policing in Philly With Meek Mill, Malcolm Jenkins, and More

The town hall is taking place at the Community College of Philadelphia.

Players Coalition co-founder and Philadelphia Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins is hosting a town hall in Philadelphia on the subject of policing.

Meek Mill, Chief Public Defender of Philadelphia Keir Bradford-Grey, ABC6 news anchor Sharrie Williams, and others will also be in attendance for the talk. The event, which will be livestreamed, is taking place at the Community College of Philadelphia and will kick off on Monday, Oct. 28 at 6:00 p.m. ET. The forum aims to get community feedback on the Mayor of Philadelphia's upcoming appointment of Police Commissioner.

"The Mayor will select a new Police Commissioner this year," Jenkins said in a statement. "That choice is critical to restoring the community's trust and creating a more fair and just system in Philadelphia. Over the last few years, Philadelphia police have been rocked by scandal. And recently, the Plain View Project uncovered over 300 officers who made racist, xenophobic, and misogynist social media posts. We have to address police brutality and over-policing of back and brown communities head on, It’s time to give people a voice. The new appointment gives the community a new chance to move forward."

Tonight! We are at capacity but we still want everyone involved. Use the hashtag #HearPhillySpeak to follow along and let @PhillyMayor know what you want in your next Police Commissioner! If you RSVPd @MeekMill and myself will see you at @CCPedu. Doors open at 5 https://t.co/TrbT3GV9aR
