Former adult film actress Katrina "Katie" Lynn Danforth has admitted to paying a man she believed to be a hitman $2,500 to assassinate the father of her child. As People reports, the 32-year-old Danforth said that she met with a man who claimed to be a killer for hire in late 2018, before later mailing him a "thank you" card with $2,500 in cash.

A press release from the U.S. Attorney's Office confirms that Danforth pled guilty to two counts of use of interstate commerce facilities in the commission of murder for hire. The man who she believed to be a hitman was an undercover police officer, who eventually arrested Danforth. She has been in custody since December 2018. The charges she faces carry up to ten years each and a fine of up to $250,000, meaning she could face 20 years in prison. When she is eventually released, she will be on parole for up to three years.

Danforth's reportedly gave the undercover police officer a list of "specific requirements" for the hit. She "did not care if others who lived in the home were harmed," but she specifically wanted her child to be confirmed safe. Danforth also wanted the body to be easily found. She had agreed to a $5,000 fee for the hit, with the "thank you" card  loaded with half of the money as a down payment.

Danforth reportedly performed in a number of adult films under various pseudonyms. She is due to be sentenced on Dec. 2.
