There are multiple reports that shots were fired at the Raptors parade in Toronto on Monday. According to Toronto Star columnist Bruce Arthur, one person was seen receiving medical attention.
The Toronto Police Operations Centre confirmed via Twitter that two victims with non-life-threatening injuries have been located, two individuals are in custody, and two firearms have been recovered.
In the video footage shared, people can be seen running away from the stage where the shots reportedly originated.
According to Yahoo! Sports, Nathan Philipps Square was cleared and the parade continued. However, Eaton Centre mall, located a short distance away was reportedly placed on lockdown after a suspected shooter entered the shopping center.
TMZ published footage of a man interrupting Raptors co-owner Larry Tanenbaum's speech to ask those in the crowd to stay calm. "There is an emergency that is being dealt with," he said.
