UPDATED 6/4/19: Well, this took a disappointing turn.

After giving a masterclass in how to handle racist customers, Craig Brooks found himself in hot water this week when someone dug up his transphobic tweets from 2017. Brooks claimed members of the trans community perpuated stereotypes about gay men and said he agreed with Donald Trump's transgender military ban.

Tweets

According to the Daily Dot, Brooks initially dismissed the backlash this week, tweeting: "You dug all that up did I lie though?"

That post has since been deleted. The 26-year-old also issued an apology Monday, claiming he wrote the aforementioned messages "in a moment of anger."

A hotel worker took to Twitter on Sunday to share footage from a recent interaction he had with a woman attempting to book a room. Prior to arriving at the hotel, the woman called the hotel worker a "fucking n****r" on the phone, which she attempted to backtrack once her use of the racial slur prevented her from getting what she wanted.

The Twitter user @craignofridayy posted the video, in which he can be seen remaining very professional as the woman, and later her relative, make excuses as to why the racial slur was used on the phone. “I need to stay here, my mother died,” the woman says. “I understand that, but you called me a fucking n***r," the hotel worker responds.

The woman then offers up an unconvincing apology to the hotel employee, who calmly reminds her "in the climate we live in, it's above me now."

Many people were quick to respond to the blatant display of racism.
