Today in pressing news of the Wow It's Kinda Hard to Have Sympathy for This Guy at All variety, a 16-year-old claims he had his MAGA cult hat ripped off his head by someone at Whataburger without provocation.
"I support my president and if you don't let's have a conversation about it instead of ripping my hat off," Hunter Richard toldNews 4 San Antonio in an article published on the Fourth of July. "I just think a conversation about politics is more productive for the entire whole rather than taking my hat and yelling subjective words to me."
Richard said he was out with friends when the man approached them, removed the hat, tossed a beverage in his face, then exited the establishment. The incident in question, a portion of which is allegedly shown in the video above, occurred Tuesday night at a Whataburger in San Antonio, Texas. As the man walks out of the restaurant, he's heard saying he plans to give the hat a new home inside his fireplace. A police report has reportedly been filed.
Previously in MAGA hat-related news, a restaurant manager was canned after not serving a Trumpee and a judge ruled in favor of a bar in New York for booting one.
I'm not an authority on anything at all, but feel free to snatch MAGA hats when you see them, even if the person wearing one is the guy who made "Jesus Walks." Just, you know, don't do something like this that could easily be misconstrued in the press.
