IHOP is switching up their acronym to IHOb on June 11.
"For 60 pancakin’ years, we’ve been IHOP. Now, we’re flippin’ our name to IHOb. Find out what it could b on 6.11.18. #IHOb" read their announcement tweet.
Of course, tweeters are relentlessly trying to figure out what the breakfast chain restaurant will be the international house of next. Some have guessed the obvious—international house of breakfast. Although others have got a bit more creative:
IHOP is throwing hints, too. They released a survey with a list of possible options: biscuits, bacon, butternut squash, and barnacles.
International Bacon Day isn't until Sept. 1 while National Bacon Day is on Dec. 30. Although one doesn't need a holiday to celebrate and eat bacon. National Buttermilk Biscuit Day May 14 and National Biscuit Day is on May 29. It's unlikely the breakfast giant will be dedicating a letter to butternut or barnacles either. (Unless someone on the team is a big Spongebob Squarepants fan.) So far, bacon is winning.
