Former senior editor of Breitbart News, Milo Yiannopoulos, was having lunch with associate Chadwick Moore on Sunday when a group of self-described socialists chanted them out of the yet unidentified New York City bar, screaming, “Nazi scum, get out.”

According to The Wrap, Yiannopoulos and Moore walked into the wrong establishment on Sunday, with a Bronx/Upper Manhattan (BUM) branch of the New York City Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) meeting taking place as the pair entered for a meal. Here’s what happened next to the distasteful agent provocateur and his colleague.

According to Chadwick Moore, the video footage allegedly leaves out the pushing and shoving purported to have been the last straw for the two. Unfortunately, the event seems to have been lauded as a victory by one half of our modern political spectrum, while being decried as fascism by the other—dividing us even further. On the other hand, the consequences facing Yiannopoulos these days are of his own doing entirely. As for yesterday’s incident, Moore claims things were a little more violent than the footage implies.

As for Milo, he offered his version of events via Facebook, as the commentator was permanently banned from Twitter in 2016 for inciting his followers to pounce on SNL star Leslie Jones for her looks and spelling mistakes in a tweet of hers. Here’s what Milo had to say for himself in regards to Sunday’s incident.

Milo Yiannopoulos became a bizarre mascot for the Republican and conservative landscape in the era of Donald Trump. A gay British man with a coiffed head of hair and a black boyfriend, who decries the sensitivity of left-leaning progressives while simultaneously egging them on with blatantly offensive rhetoric. As his fame grew, the seemingly uncontrollable anger and hatred toward him did, too—with riots at Berkely during a speaking engagement last year, and his employment at the hyper-aggressive version of Fox News, the alt-right publication Breitbart News, not helping him garner any sympathy.

Unfortunately for Milo, his behavior has caught up with him. Fortunately for the rest of us, free speech is still very much legal and seems like the best possible way to band together to banish those we oppose.
