Following the deadly shooting that occurred at an Antioch, Tennessee Waffle House which claimed four lives on Sunday, a GoFundMe has been created for Akilah DaSilva, an aspiring rapper and one of those killed in the incident.

DaSilva, 23, went by the stage name Natrix Dream. He was with his older brother and girlfriend at the time of the shooting. The page describes DaSilva as a “humble, kind and well respected young man.” It also explains that the aspiring musician was “pursuing a career in musical engineering at MTSU.” The fundraiser’s description says, “The DaSilva family welcomes prayers, words of comfort, and any contribution during their time of grief."

At the time of publication, the page had raise $8,636 of its $10,000 goal.

The page appears to have been set up by Kareem DaSilva, one of the victim’s cousins. As Click2Houston reports, Kareem said his cousin was a “genius” and a fixture of the Nashville music scene. “He was always at other people’s events. He was always shooting music videos,” said Kareem. As per DaSilva's Twitter profile, the late artist wrote, "Music is my life and I will never stop until I achieve my dreams."

“It makes me a little bit sad that we weren’t able to see all that he could have done," Kareem added.

DaSilva had just released his "Look Alive (Remix)” music video with fellow rapper Tuff Gotti on Saturday, which you can view below.
