Alex Jones Sued by Sandy Hook Parents for Defamation

The InfoWars host previously claimed the parents were actors.

Justice is coming for Alex Jones. The host (or as I like to call him the raging idiot/trash peddler) of InfoWars is being sued by the parents of two children killed in the Sandy Hook elementary school massacre in 2012. Jones had previously proclaimed on his show that the very real shooting was fake and alleged that the government had staged it. The lawsuits were filed separately in state court in Travis County, Texas.

Last year, InfoWars accused Veronique De La Rosa, the mother of Noah Pozner, of being an actor instead of the parent of a slain child. De La Rosa and Leonard Pozner, Noah’s father, have now filed a lawsuit against Jones, InfoWars LLC, and Free Speech Systems LLC. As the parents note, “This conspiracy theory, which has been pushed by InfoWars and Mr. Jones since the day of the shooting, alleges that the Sandy Hook massacre did not happen, or that it was staged by the government and concealed using actors, and that the parents of the victims are participants in a horrifying cover-up.”

Neil Heslin filed a similar but separate suit against Jones and InfoWars, as well as the one of the show’s reporters, Owen Shroyer. In his complaint, Heslin said, “This case arises out of accusations by InfoWars in the summer of 2017 that plaintiff was lying about whether he actually held his son’s body and observed a bullet hole in his head. He calls Jones out for a “heartless and vile act of defamation” that promulgated “the Sandy Hook 'false flag’ conspiracy and tore open the emotional wounds that plaintiff has tried so desperately to heal.” I can’t say anyone sane disagrees.
