The war on women rages on. Mississippi Gov./MAGA minion Phil Bryant screwed women in the state by signing House Bill 1510, which bans abortions after 15 weeks in one of the country’s most restrictive abortion laws.
I was proud to sign House Bill 1510 this afternoon. I am committed to making Mississippi the safest place in America for an unborn child, and this bill will help us achieve that goal. pic.twitter.com/O0O4QeILLx

Bryant is somewhat of a pro-life, anti-woman fetishist, stating he wanted Mississippi to be the “safest place in America for an unborn child.” (Don’t get me going on Mississippi’s lax gun laws, and how that figures in to making Mississippi a “safe place.”) Anyway, the only exception to the Draconian law is if the fetus has a health issue that would render it “incompatible with life” outside the womb at full term. Same goes if the pregnant woman’s life or a “major bodily function” is threatened by carrying the pregnancy. However, there are no exceptions for pregnancies resultant of incest or rape.
Reproductive rights activists are calling out the law for being unconstitutional, and an owner of a local abortion clinic has pledged to sue, according to the Clarion-Ledger. Meanwhile, many users on Twitter have taken to the platform to decry the law and its deleterious effect on women's rights.
