Meanwhile, Trump’s younger sister Ivanka is caught up in some troubles of her own (though this one may pale in comparison to a reported extramarital affair). People on Twitter are dragging, and making memes out of, a strange photo of Ivanka dressed in a lab coat doing...science? In the photo Ivanka can be seen wearing safety glasses and blue gloves, while holding up test tubes and furrowing her brow.
The photo comes from a visit to Iowa, where Ivanka went to help promote her father’s “infrastructure” initiative. Apparently, what she’s doing in the weird photo op is measuring nicotine in “vape juice.”
“I can't promise that I'll get this right,” she said during the visit, according to Business Insider. “But at least we'll look the part, right?” Sure thing Ivanka, that’s how science works. As the late, great Albert Einstein once said: Fake it ‘til you make it.
The super meme-able photo inspired some people to share their own mocking versions on Twitter. Many criticized Ivanka because of her lack of knowledge when it comes to science, infrastructure, or vaping, while others plainly called this cosplay an affront to real scientists.
