The United States is still in the middle of a government shutdown, and the White House wants callers on its comment line to know exactly who is to blame for the lack of service.

The White House on Saturday changed the voicemail to the following message:

“Thank you for calling the White House. Unfortunately, we cannot answer your call today because congressional Democrats are holding government funding, including funding for our troops and other national security priorities, hostage to an unrelated immigration debate," the operator says.

“Due to this obstruction, the government is shut down," she continues. “In the meantime, you can leave a comment for the president at www.whitehouse.gov/contact. We look forward to taking your calls as soon as the government reopens.”

The Senate failed Friday to get the necessary votes to extend funding that would have kept the government in operation until Feb. 16. The U.S. Senate has been in sessions throughout the weekend in an attempt to reach an agreement before the work week begins.

In the meantime, you can humor yourself with photos of Donald Trump pretending to be busy during the shutdown.
