Killer Mike isn't one to shy away from expressing his opinions. In a recent interview with TMZ, a reporter asked Mike what he thought about Oprah Winfrey running for president in 2020: "Oprah is a billionaire," Mike said. "I encourage people to support the politicians that are already… doing work."
Killer Mike knew exactly who he wants to see in the White House in the future: Ohio politician Nina Turner. A former Senator from the state, Turner was a major proponent of Bernie Sanders, and endorsed him for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2016. It's no wonder Mike likes her, since he's a big fan of Sanders too.
"If I’m going to support a black woman for president, or a woman for president—and I think that should happen—it’d be Nina Turner because I think she’s a dynamic politician and legislator. She’s worked across the aisles in her home state and she just made a hell of an impression on me on the campaign trail," Mike told TMZ.
At the 2018 Golden Globes, Oprah received the Cecil B. DeMille Award, and gave a rousing speech that left many enamored. Of course, the moment went viral and had many hashtagging #Oprah2020. But there was also major backlash, as many have expressed their worry over another celebrity running for president.
