Ordering a double-double from Tim Hortons is a time-honoured tradition here in Canada. It's an experience deeply embedded into our canuck culture, like playing hockey, having universal healthcare, or being uncomfortably polite at every possible turn. The only way ordering a double-double could seem even more Canadian, is by grabbing one during the infamous Roll Up The Rim campaign. If for some strange reason you're unfamiliar with this incredibly inescapable experience, it's almost like buying a coffee and a scratch ticket all at once. After finishing a Tim Hortons beverage, one is able to roll up the rim to reveal a free prize or the dreaded "please play again" notice. During this glorious window every year, fingers are crossed all around the country, with everyone aiming to roll up a winner and subsequently take home one of the grand prizes.

While this may sound exciting, your chances of taking home a $5,000 gift card or a brand new SUV are relatively low. It can seem rather uninspiring to roll up loser after loser, and there can only be so many coffees purchased within the annual campaign. At least, that's what we thought until we saw a YouTuber try and cheat the system. Last week, a popular Canadian vlogger who goes by the username ItsYeBoi, pulled up to a Tim Hortons drive-thru and copped 1,000 empty cups. He then drove them all home and proceeded to roll them up one at a time. Despite the insane amount of cups, he unfortunately comes up short. Regardless, it's an amazing thing to watch unfold, and certainly the most relatable Canadian YouTube challenge in a long time. Check it all out by streaming the video above.
