"It really is a massive success story in terms of implementation on every single level," this "unnamed" official claimed. Success story? Try again:
There's a lot more to unpack in the Post's account of the briefing, including additional purported claims from the official that news outlets had provided "false, misleading, inaccurate, hyperventilating" coverage of the travel problems caused by the order, and that affected travelers were "set aside" for questioning, not detained. In an interview with CBS This Morning Monday, Miller echoed the ban's "purported" success. When asked if additional countries would be added to the order, Miller dodged. "We’re going to take the next 30 days to develop a new set of screening protocols to try and ensure that people entering our country, particularly on a permanent basis, truly love and support the United States of America," he claimed. "There will be a 60-day period where countries will be asked to comply with the new directives."
