The winter holiday season is here, which mostly means people are freezing, cranky, marching home to visit family, and quite possibly a tad bit randy and looking to score more than just eggnog and grandma's yams next week. Don't deny it: You or at least someone you know might be preparing for cuffing season, and now there's some data that can help you nail down where you can get laid.
According to Cambridge Analytica's "Holidata" for 2016, some states are going to be luckier than others in terms of finding holiday companionship. Based on which states have the most single people and the most extroverted population, the analytics company has determined that New York City and Washington D.C. (each boasting a population that's about 50 percent single, suspiciously) are going to be getting the busiest this holiday season. Not only is D.C. the most single, but also has the most extroverts.
The most single states are as follows:
- Washington D.C. (#1 in extroversion as well as the most single state, according to Holidata)
And the states with the most extroverts:
- Washington DC
- New Jersey
So go ahead and your groove back if you're in D.C. this Christmas but as separate advice: avoid the politicians (they're probably married and definitely toxic).
Chicagoans who are covered in snow may be happy to learn that they're in the state with the third most single folks after the Big Apple and D.C., so stock up on condoms as well as sidewalk salt if you live in Illinois. The state where the horny among us are the least likely to see any action? Yep, we're looking at you, Utah. No Christmas nookie for the least single state in the union, according to Cambridge Analytica.
Best of luck to all the single, consenting adults out there. There is in fact booty to be found (except for in Utah).
