UPDATED Nov. 28, 1:31 p.m. ET: Delta released an internal memo sent from the airline's CEO, Ed Bastian, to employees that the man who went on the pro-Trump rant "will never again be allowed on a Delta plane." Bastian also wrote that, "now more than ever we must require civility on our planes and in our facilities... We will not tolerate anything less."

UPDATED Nov. 27, 6:30 p.m. ET: Following the public outrage regarding the disturbance on Delta Airlines flight 285 from Atlanta to Allentown, Pennsylvania on Nov. 22, the service has offered an official apology and statement on their website.

"We are so sorry to our customers who experienced this disruption. We have followed up with the teams involved and all agree that this customer should not have been allowed to continue on the flight," the statement reads. "Our responsibility for ensuring all customers feel safe and comfortable with Delta includes requiring civil behavior from everyone. The behavior we see in this video does not square with our training or culture." Delta assured that a "follow up will continue so we can better ensure our employees will know they will be fully supported to make the right decisions when these issues arise."

If you managed to survive a week of grueling holiday dinners with various members of the fam, then good for you. Not everyone was so lucky. Hell, some people even had the concentrated poisons of the presidential election disgustingly thrown in their face while simply trying to embark on the already horrifying task of air travel. For example, a plane full of supremely unfortunate Delta passengers found themselves stuck on a flight Tuesday with someone who is, well, what's the word?

An asshole! That's the word I was looking for: Asshole. "Donald Trump, baby!" the man is seen screaming at passengers in the clip, first uploaded to Facebook by Emma Baum. The footage was captured on a flight from Atlanta to Allentown, according to Death and Taxes. "We got some Hillary bitches on here?" the man later asks the presumably annoyed passengers. Elsewhere in the clip, the man tells the rest of the plane that the President-elect is "your president, every goddamn one of you."

Baum told the Daily Mail Thursday that the man was "taken away by flight attendants for at least 15 minutes," though he was allowed to return to his seat after the outburst. In a statement to columnist and political commentator Yashar Ali, Delta said they were "currently investigating" the incident:

As many across Twitter and elsewhere have noted, the bizarre display is just the latest example of troubling hypocrisy in light of this year's election:

Delta did not immediately respond to Complex's request for comment.
