A Baltimore teacher was fired after a video showed her using a racial slur while yelling at black students. The clip showing the ranting teacher has been viewed over three million times on Facebook.

The incident happened Tuesday at Harlem Park Elementary/Middle School, according to Thursday’s statement from Baltimore City Public Schools. Erica Esha Deminds, whose son is a student of the now-fired teacher, posted the video on her Facebook page Wednesday night.

In the video, the teacher appears angry, grabbing a student by the sweater and kicking the student out of class. After the teacher escorts the student out, she asks, “Who else needs to friggin’ leave?” She then yells, “You’re all getting zeroes for doing nothing.” Fired up, she continues: “You’re idiots. You have a chance to get an education. Do you wanna be a broke ass n****r who’s going to get shot?”

The teacher finished the tirade by saying, “Learn something. Be a man.” Immediately, students erupt. One appears on camera slack-jawed, while someone else is heard saying, “Stop saying that."

Baltimore City Public Schools said in their statement: “Yesterday a middle school science teacher at Harlem Park Elementary/Middle School engaged in verbally abusive behavior and made racially charged comments directed at students. The teacher involved in the incident is no longer employed by City Schools.”

Baltimore City Public Schools CEO Dr. Sonja Santelises, who only went as far saying the teacher taught science, said she was “appalled” by the video, reported the Baltimore Sun. “In a very trying time in the country right now here in City Schools we are very clear we do not tolerate that kind of language and interaction...using hate speech with anyone, let alone our young people,” said Santelises.
