With possibly the most controversial election in U.S. history coming up, politics have touched every area of our lives, including our relationships. Some Americans are so desperate for a ticket out of the country that a new dating app is helping them find partners in Canada. And for those who want to stick around if Trump wins, well, there’s an app for them, too.

It’s no surprise that the election is affecting our dating and sex lives, but we wouldn’t have predicted the myriad ways this is manifesting. Here are some of the most hilarious and baffling ways the politicians we support at the ballots affect who we are on dates and in the bedroom:

1. Trump supporters are more likely to expect sex on the first date, according to a survey by Match and Research Now, which is not too surprising given the candidate’s own sexual entitlement complex.

2. Still, more Democrats (64 percent) than Republicans (56 percent) have had one-night stands, according to SKYN Condoms Millennial Sex Survey results emailed to Complex.

3. So, it’s a good thing the majority of Democrats (60 percent) use condoms, the same survey found, though only 46 percent of Republicans can say the same.

4. A survey by the dating app Clover confirms that Democrats are 30 percent more likely to have casual sex.

5. But Republicans may be more adventurous: They’re 50 percent more likely than Democrats to have sex outside, Clover found.

6. Independents have their own claim to fame: They’re the party most likely to be bisexual, according to SKYN Condoms.

7. A Terminix survey found that 17 percent of women would end a relationship over conflicting political views—but hey, that’s fewer than the 25 percent who would break up over a cockroach in their partner’s home.

8. Forty-seven percent of people would refuse to even date someone with conflicting political beliefs, says a survey emailed to Complex by the polling app Wishbone.

9. But that might depend on their party. Only seven percent of Democrats would date a Trump supporter, while 59 percent of Republicans would tolerate someone voting for Hillary, according to a survey by Zola.

10. Maybe that’s because the sex is worth it. 55 percent of singles—and even 23 percent of Republicans—think Democrats are better in bed, a survey emailed to Complex from the dating site Zoosk found.

11. But they could be wrong. Fifty-three percent of conservative Republicans but only 40 percent of liberal Democrats orgasm at least 91 percent of the time, according to Match’s Singles in America Survey.

12. Democrats who enjoy pain during sex tend to talk about Quentin Tarantino and 'Pulp Fiction' on their OKCupid profiles, while Republicans with the same preference are into 'The Walking Dead' and Disney.

13. The word “booze” disproportionately appears on the OKCupid profiles of liberals seeking sex over love, while Republicans looking for hookups write about firearms and steak.

14. Among those on OKCupid for relationships, conservatives still write about firearms… but call them “guns.” Love-seeking liberals are into avocados and vegetarianism.

15. Politics affect our porn habits—so much that xHamster traffic went up 7.4 percent in Philly the first night of the DNC, with searches for Hillary Clinton and Michelle Obama surging.

16. Similarly, Pornhub saw a 4.2 percent increase in traffic in Cleveland and a 648 percent increase in Trump-related searches during the RNC.

17. Regardless of their leaning, people more passionate about politics enjoy more orgasms, Match’s Singles in America Survey found, so there’s one more reason to vote.
