Mike Pence (that's this guy) not only disagrees with his GOP presidential running mate Donald Trump when it comes to name calling in politics, he also disagrees when it comes to believing that Barack Obama was born in the U.S.A. Trump was famously a part of the birther movement in 2011 after questioning Obama's birthplace and demanding to see the President's birth certificate.

When asked about it on Wednesday, NBC News reported Pence said, "I believe Barack Obama was born in Hawaii." He did however say he didn't meet eye to eye with Obama politically on issues of foreign policy and Obamacare before adding, "I accept his birthplace."

Pence was also asked whether he thought Trump should apologize for publicly questioning the president's natural born citizenship in the first place—a stance that has frequently been described as racially motivated. Pence said, "I think Donald Trump's record both as a businessman and as a political leader and a patron in supporting minority efforts, and particularly supporting the advancement of the African-American community, really speaks for itself." If you'll recall, Trump outraged black voters when he told them they "had nothing to lose" by voting for him because they were "living in poverty."

Trump and others had insisted Obama was born in Kenya and therefore couldn't be a U.S. president. But in recent months, Trump has not brought up the subject at all, and this week said, "I don’t talk about it."

In this election alone, Trump has fanned the flames on theories about Democratic opponent Hillary Clinton's alleged deteriorating health and has suggested Sen. Ted Cruz's father was involved in JFK assassination. Just last month, Trump called Obama the founder of ISIS and Clinton the co-founder. After doubling down on the comments, Trump said he had meant them sarcastically.
