Donald Trump Eats KFC With Silverware, Twitter Goes Nuts

Donald Trump was pictured eating KFC on his private jet with a knife and fork, and Twitter couldn’t believe it.

Great afternoon in Ohio & a great evening in Pennsylvania - departing now. See you tomorrow Virginia! pic.twitter.com/jQTQYBFpdb

Donald Trump probably never expected that an eight-piece meal could generate so much controversy. The GOP nominee tweeted a picture late Monday night of him on his private plane, headed from a rally in Pennsylvania to Virginia. In the shot, he is eating what appears to be an eight-piece bucket meal with a side of mashed potatoes and gravy from KFC.

But that photo drew tremendous ridicule on social media when people noticed that Trump was eating the fast food with a knife, fork, and spoon.

Sometimes Trump is not like us in subtle ways. Other times he USES A FORK AND A KNIFE TO EAT KFC #HeDoesChickenWrong https://t.co/TGmUYetgYg

Trump posted a pic of himself on a plane eating KFC.

Also, that salt shaker - did he add salt to KFC? That seems ill-advised. #Trump #imwithher https://t.co/uMXROtL9bj

Donald Trump is the only person in America that thinks KFC is lacking in sodium pic.twitter.com/Qd5IMvQHQ6

For others, it wasn't the utensils as much as the choice of restaurant that showed poor judgment.

Eating KFC fine dining style. Crap dressed as elegance. That'd be a Trump presidency. https://t.co/90omBhsWIm

Still more people noticed the salt shaker on the table.

And one astute Twitter user viewed the whole thing as a metaphor for a potential Trump administration.
