How do you know if you're too old to ride a water slide? Careening off the side and down a cliff could be one good sign.
At least that is what one Dallas, Tex. man is saying after he flew off of one during a ride at a private home he was visiting at Lake Travis near Austin. David Salmon posted a video of the incident, filmed by a friend, to his Facebook on Monday. The footage shows him sliding down the ride, and trying to stop himself from flying off with his hand, before things go terribly wrong.
"Too dang old to be going down water slides," Salmon wrote.
He fell 10 to 15 feet down from the slide onto a rocky cliff. Fox7 News reported rescue crews had a difficult time reaching him due to the location. Salmon was taken to a Round Rock hospital in an ambulance and is being treated for fractured ribs, a broken arm, and multiple lacerations across his back, arms and side, according to his post.
"Just found out I don’t need surgery so that’s good news," he said, adding hashtags #waterslide #fail #failvideo #brokenarm #notdead.
The fall serves as a reminder: as you try to stay cool this summer, also try to stay #notdead.
