The Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia got off to a tense start Monday after a busy couple of days for the Democratic party. Wikileaks released 20,000 emails from the Democratic National Party, revealing how the party worked against democratic candidate and Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, which let to DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz's resignation. The DNC has since publicly apologized to Sanders.

Day one also saw protests outside of the DNC, while Sanders was booed insude when he told supporters to vote for Clinton. The convention also follows days after Hillary Clinton, the presumptive democratic nominee for president, announced Virginia Sen. Tim Kaine as her pick for vice president. The pair made their first appearance as running mates over the weekend at a Miami campaign rally.
