Law & Order director Jason "Jace" Alexander, who faced up to seven years in prison on child pornography charges last summer, has been sentenced to 10 years probation.

52-year-old Alexander pled guilty in January to one count of promoting a sexual performance by a child and one count of possessing an obscene performance by a child. Westchester County District Attorney Janet DiFiore confirmed Alexander's plea to the Associated Press. Alexander was released on $10,000 bail after entering his plea.

Alexander was sentenced on Tuesday to 10 years probation, in addition to becoming a registered sex offender in his home state of New York. He was arrested in July 2015 at his home, where evidence of the child pornography was found. According to a press release People obtained, "A forensic examination of computers and external hard drives removed from the location revealed digital files of children who are less than sixteen years of age engaged in child pornography."

Alexander directed more than 30 episodes in a nine-year span for Law & Order beginning in the '90s. He also directed other TV shows, including The Blacklist, Rescue Me, and Prison Break. He’s married and has three children.

Earlier this month, former Glee star Mark Salling pled not guilty to child pornography charges for which he could face 40 years in prison if found guilty. He was arrested last December after police and federal officers allegedly found child pornography on his laptop.
