UPF Leader Appears at Farmers' Rally, is Quickly Booed off Stage

"Oh, that's that anti-Muslim bloke... F*ck him off."

I guess you’ve gotta give this guy points for trying?

United Patriots Front leader Blair Cottrell, famous for declaring he’d like to see a picture of Adolf Hitler in every Australian classroom, appeared on stage in Melbourne over on Wednesday. This time however, he wasn’t protesting the construction of a new mosque, or preaching some sort of cultural segregation plan.

Cottrell was, without any fathomable explanation, on stage at a dairy farmers' rally. The farmers were congregating around Melbourne’s parliament building, protesting issues very specific to their industry, namely issues with supermarkets.

Perhaps interpreting locally-produced milk as another kind of Australian white power, Cottrell jumped up on stage to rant about Coles. Once he found himself in front of the crowd however, the farmers quickly spoke up.

While some farmers were simply yelling “Get off, go away,” others were more specific. “You’re not a farmer, mate. Get off!”

Facebook group Melbourne Antifascist Info also reported one member of the crowd saying "Oh, that's that anti-Muslim bloke... Fuck him off."

It’s unusual that a man who spends his time intimidating minorities and protesting immigration would devote his energy to issues facing dairy farmers. But, this is a guy who, despite forging an identity around being staunchly anti-Muslim, was once photographed at a kebab shop. It seems confusion is common for Blair Cottrell.
