It's not easy being a porn star.
If you don't believe it, check out this video on what goes into their scene preparation. For the latest episode of porn site WoodRocket's "Ask A Porn Star," XXX actresses describe what they do before a shoot:
As you might expect, a lot of their time is spent getting camera-ready. Most of the preparation is getting dolled up: Hair, makeup, shaving, and all that. Amarna Miller even does her nails and retouches her roots. But the rest is pretty porn-specific.
A few of the women said douching was a common courtesy—for some pretty explicit reasons.
"A girl could be mid in her cycle and be creamy or something like that," Veruca James explained. For Miller, douching is "for not having that funny pussy."
Dava Foxx does her kegel exercises. "When you're about to pee, you tighten those muscles," she said. "It makes your vagina nice and tight. My vaginal muscle game is definitely on point."
But anal sex requires the most prep, according to Dahlia Sky: "I would probably stop eating at like 5 p.m. the day before and then the night before I'll do an enema and then another one in the morning."
Think about that the next time you watch a porn scene.
"This video shows that porn stars put on their shoes one foot at a time like everybody else," porn director and WoodRocket creator Lee Roy Myers told NTRSCTN in a statement. "The only difference is that they douche and shave their genitals before putting on their shoes and then take off their shoes and underwear and have sex on video after."
