Donald Trump slugged Ted Cruz for the umpteenth time Wednesday night at a rally in Long Island, New York. The two were last seen warring during a Twitter fight that dragged their respective wives. Although initiated by Cruz Trump added fuel to the fire after posting a bad photo of Heidi Cruz, Cruz's wife, and defending said action saying Cruz started it which Anderson Cooper called the argument of a 5-year-old. Not phased by losing the Wisconsin primary to Cruz Trump went after him for his "New York values" comment from months ago.
Back in January a.k.a. forever ago during the sixth republican debate Cruz called out Trump's "New York values." Cruz described those values as being of the "liberal" variety, the kind that support abortion and "gay marriage."
Trump, a New Yorker, didn't take kindly to those comments calling them "offensive." He shot back that those "New York values" are what helped people persevere through the horrific aftermath of 9/11.
Tonight in Bethpage, New York Trump addressed the crowd and brought up the comments Mashablereports.
"Do you remember during the debate when he started lecturing me on New York values like we're no good, like we're no good," said Trump. "And I started talking to him about the World Trade Center, the bravery, the incredible bravery of everybody, our police, our firemen, our everybody."
He added, "Folks, I think you can forget about him."
According to Mashable, Trump is currently polling at over 50 percent in New York ahead of the April 19 primary.
