3 super attractive qualities that have nothing to do with looks

It's no secret that when it comes to what makes someone attractive, there are more important things than looks.

Intelligence, humor, passion, and kindness are all super hot qualities in a possible boo, but there are other personality traits that people are drawn to, as well. 

According to a Reddit thread discussing sexy personality traits, there's more to being attractive than you'd think.

Here are three of the most appealing traits a person can have that have zip to do with looks:

One Redditor wrote, "Your outer appearance isn't what's important. It's the dankness of your memes which defines who you are."

When another Redditor commented about passion being sexy, the meme-lover wrote, "Yes, even if it's memes. In fact, being passionate about memes makes you even sexier."

So if your meme-obsession usually annoys your friends, but you meet someone who finished your "Damn, Daniel" exclamation, it might be a love connection.

Redditor Allie_Katz had a one-word answer for what makes someone attractive: empathy.

And there's research that backs this up. A 2012 study published in the journal Sage showed that empathy, particularly early on in a relationship, makes someone very attractive to their potential partner. 

In a world that's always chatting away, Redditor BillionTonsHyperbole thinks it's attractive when someone can appreciate quiet time: "Silence. A person secure enough to not feel compelled to seek validation by filling up empty air with conversation is a very attractive quality. That's the difference between those who talk all the time and those who have something to say."

Introverted types who prefer the quieter things in life, take heart.

Any combination of traits can make a person attractive, and plenty are separate from the way someone looks. But if this Reddit thread has anything to say about it, meme-loving, empathetic, quiet folks are hot hot hot.
