Ted Cruz, a man so indecipherable that even actual doctors are perplexed by his body language, has reportedly decided to pull a campaign ad after discovering that one of the purported Cruz fans featured in the video was, in fact, an adult film star. Before we break down exactly how this amazingly came together, you should probably peep the pulled ad below:

The porn star in question, according to the New York Daily News, is a self-described "conservative Christian" named Amy Lindsay who simply passed the audition process and was promptly added to the production. "Unfortunately, [Lindsay] was not vetted by the production company," a Cruz spokesperson tells BuzzFeed News. "Had the campaign known of her full filmography, we obviously would not have let her appear in the ad."

In addition to roles in softcore fare like Carnal Wishes and Insatiable Desires, Lindsay has also made appearances in entirely non-porn productions including Scrambled. On Thursday, Lindsay tweeted that she was "extremely disappointed" in the Cruz campaign's decision to pull the ad due solely to her inclusion.

Of course, the wonderful world of porn has come knocking at Cruz's presumably creepy door before. As previously reported, Cruz was offered a quick million bucks to do a presumably fantastic pornographic film entitled Cruzin' for Bush. Shortly after news of that offer crashed into global headlines, two men in New Hampshire attempted to perform an exorcism on the Republican presidential candidate.
