After 31 cases of the Zika virus popped up in the U.S. and it was sexually transmitted for the first time ever in Texas, people are on edge about the growing pandemic. The World Health Organization even declared it a global emergency less than a week ago and Florida’s governor followed suit yesterday. Now, the conspiracy theorists are chiming in and they’re calling this the result of biological warfare, Gizmodoreports.
One theory suggests that genetically modified mosquitos were released by an insect control company called Oxitec, which already has its hands in the genetic modification business and conducted trials in Brazil where the outbreak is said to have begun.
Another one theorizes that the Zika virus came from monkeys in a top secret Rockefeller experiment and that the U.S. government has held virus in its biological archives sine 1947. Oh, you can supposedly buy it online. There’s even video proof.
Others say that it’s part of population control and that the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation initiated a program to see how pregnant women responded to the virus. Right.
For those who are concerned, the virus isn’t that much of a threat since it’s wintertime. However, things could get worse once the weather gets warmer. Better stock up on bug spray.
